Sophomore album by the Massachusetts death metal act Wretched Inferno. Holy hell this is some hard-hitting death metal. Insanely catchy riffs, perfectly complementing bass, ear-shredding dual attack vocals, and some serious death metal drumming. A little bit of that ooga-booga caveman rhythm and the pinging snare push this over into BDM territory, but it never collapses into a wall of sound and each instrument maintains clarity from one another. These guys have managed to avoid the second-album slump, and in fact may have delivered their best work so far.
