Having released their debut demo way back in 1994, Rigor Sardonicous' sound stems from progenitors such as Winter, Symphony of Grief, and Incantation, while continuing to evolve and solidify over time, firmly establishing their own raw, crushing heaviness that's extreme even for the genre. More akin to slow death metal than melodic doom, they deliver a limbic listening experience that is dense and existential with dread.
